BAROG - A PLACE TO GO!  *Set in the mountains Barog is just 60km  from Chandigarh on the Kalka-Shimla  highway.  *Overlooking the picturesque Solan  valley the site is covered with beautiful  pine trees.     *Barog is approachable by road as well  as by train.  *At a good height of  6000 ft. the place is  comfortable in summers as well as in  winters.  *The Himachal Tourism Resort-  Pinewood, Hotel Barog heights, Hotel  Corrins, the local dhabas all serve  a variety of different cuisine’s.   *It’s just 500mt’s walk to the Barog  market from our Camping Grounds.   STD/ISD facility is available.    *The scenery boasts of a curving railway  track down below in the valley with the  distant whistle of the seemingly toy train.

*Kilometres of road winding through  distant mountains on one side compare  beautifully with the untouched mountains  on the other side.    *Barog is the one and only hill station in India   with a registrered camping site  which allows   tourists to pitch up their own tents.
